Side access vs front access: why it matters for street and event work
A front-opening camera bag means putting it down, unzipping the whole panel and exposing everything inside to the weather while you dig for one lens. Side access on the TB04 solves that: swing the pack to your hip, unzip the side panel and the camera is right there, still strapped in, still protected. For street photography, weddings or any job where the moment doesn’t wait, that difference is the whole point of the bag. The eight dividers are removable rather than fixed, so a two-lens travel kit and a six-lens event kit both fit properly instead of rattling around in oversized slots. Because it converts down to 1kg empty, it doesn’t add meaningfully to the weight of a loaded kit on a long shooting day, and the rear laptop sleeve keeps a 15in machine separate from anything that could scratch a lens coating.
